Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit websitewave.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information we gather automatically when you use our site, and information from third-party services that help us operate our business.

Information you provide

  • Contact and lead form data: name, email address, phone number, business name, website URL, city, business type, budget range, and priorities you share when requesting a custom plan or free report.
  • Chat widget messages: name, email, phone, and any message content you send through the site chat.
  • Scheduling information: calendar details, time zone, and meeting preferences submitted when you book a call through our scheduling tool.
  • Client project data: logos, copy, brand assets, account credentials, and other material you share so we can build or maintain your website.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, time on page, referring URLs, approximate location, device type, browser type, and operating system.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored on your device to remember preferences, maintain sessions, and measure performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, and fulfill services.
  • Build, maintain, and support the websites we create for clients.
  • Send project updates, transactional emails, and occasional marketing communications you can opt out of at any time.
  • Analyze site performance and improve our offerings.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the site and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use it. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site function.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small set of vendors to run our business. Each is bound by a data processing agreement or equivalent safeguards.

  • Supabase — hosts our databases and stores lead form submissions, chat messages, and client records.
  • Resend — delivers transactional and marketing email on our behalf.
  • Google Analytics — provides aggregated site usage statistics. IP addresses are anonymized where supported.
  • Cal.com — powers call scheduling and calendar booking.
  • MyGrowthReport.com — generates the audits delivered as part of our Free Report program.

These providers may process your information in the United States or other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers acting on our behalf, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, or during a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets) where the acquiring party agrees to honor this policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as it is needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Lead data is typically retained for up to 36 months after your last interaction. You can ask us to delete your information earlier at any time.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest through our providers, and role-based access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@websitewave.com. We respond within 30 days.

9. California Privacy Rights

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined under these laws.

To submit a request, email hello@websitewave.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity before acting on the request.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
